This phenomenon is explained by Galileo’s principle of equivalence, which states that the acceleration due to gravity is the same for all objects. Hence, a bowling ball and a feather will fall at the same rate in a vacuum. On planets with no atmosphere, such as Mercury, the same principle applies. Without atmospheric drag, the bowling ball and the feather exper
